The History of Jellycat

With each new generation, one cat received a special Jelly hat – a symbol of their happiness. It reminded the family to appreciate their playful nature and always share their happiness with others.

The number nine is special to cats, so in 1999, the ninth generation cat opened Jellycat Studios in London to delight the world with toys, accessories, books, music, films and through social media.

The ninth cat is named Jack Jellycat. He will travel the world this year to tell this story and celebrate Jellycat Studios' 25th anniversary.
