In these nearly four hundred poems, parents and kindergarten teachers will find the most beautiful known pieces of Hungarian classical poetry and the best of the rich harvest of the twentieth century. In addition to popular poems by Sándor Weöres, István Kormos, Lőrinc Szabó, Zoltán Zelk, Ágnes Nagy Nemes, and János Lackfi, this anthology brings together the well-known rhymes of Hungarian folk poetry. The topics were designed by Éva T. Asódi, who selected the volume, in such a way that they equally provide an opportunity for kindergarten conversations, for choosing poems that can be recited on holidays, and for intimate family reading. The collection is illustrated by Endre Bálint's lovely drawings.
